40 weeks!

Today is baby's due date, and she is still cooking. I can't believe the time is finally here yet also feel like meeting her is so far away. I am nervous, excited, impatient, tired, uncomfortable, and grateful all at once. Trying to be productive today and tidy up the house. I wish laughing would induce labor, because all i've done for the past hour is watch jimmy fallon and ellen on youtube. Also yesterday I couldn't breath for what felt like 5 minutes while watching Mrs. Doubtfire with Derek. I was laughing at the movie, and he was laughing at me. Anyways, I'm off to try and finish writing thank you cards while watching Tangled. No judgements please :)

Neighbor Baby Shower

My good friend and neighbor Chelse threw me a baby shower last night in her beautiful backyard. I am still bummed that I forgot to get a group photo. It was sure fun to eat yummy food and celebrate baby girl. I was also pretty excited when Danielle brought one her famous baked good. She made an amazing apple tart with an almond paste bottom. All the food was really yummy, and Chelse had her backyard set up so cute with old school chairs, bistro lights, and vases of big sunflowers. It was so good to visit with good friends and open such thoughtful and adorable baby gifts! I feel so loved. Can't wait for baby girl to make her arrival in the next 5 1/2 weeks. For now I will sit in her room and think about what she will look like.

34 weeks

I am 34 weeks today and getting so excited to meet this baby. I have definitely reached the uncomfortable stage. Thank goodness for my loving husband and thoughtful family who take such good care of me. Heartburn is not my friend! But I am trying to forget the hard stuff and be grateful that my body is growing a human. I am in the process of getting my hospital bag ready. I may be jumping the gun a little, but it is just too fun to get ready for this baby. I have a couple baby showers coming up and I can't wait to celebrate. Here's to the next 6 weeks going smoothly.

Back to blogging

After a few years away from this blog, I've decided to start it up again. I have always loved journaling and documenting life through photos and words. I'm excited to have this space to share my day to day life, and adventures. Since December 2012 here is what has happened- we got a dog named Nelly, I graduated college, and I am pregnant with our first baby, due in October. Life is good and I want to remember the little things that make me happy. Here's to blogging again!
