Our trip to the North Shore of Oahu was so great! My whole family went and it was the first family vacation of all 10 of us. We stayed in a cute house right across from the beach with an awesome pool. Our first night there we were pretty tired after traveling all day. We eat dinner at a little food truck called Surf & Salsa. Very yummy mexican food! We enjoyed hanging out at the beach playing in the sand and Scar eating some too!
Some of the boys went spear fishing and cliff jumping at waimea bay. Some of the highlights of the trip for me were Snorkling at Shark's Cove, Poke bowls, shrimp food trucks, McDonalds Haupia pies, driving along the north shore, Laie Temple, and being with my family! There was one day we drove to the Laie temple and stopped at McDonald's for a soda run. We bought 3 Haupia pies and ate them so fast we turned around and went right back through the drive through again haha! We made sure to stop at McDonald's everyday and get lots of Haupia pies! We ate Haupia pies from the famous Ted's Bakery but I actually liked McDonald's better! I loved eating burgers from Seven Brothers!! We stopped at a little smoothie shop next door and got Dole whip too! So good! I loved playing in the pool with Scarlett. She sure loves being in the water. It was such a fun trip. We kept it pretty low key. We bought groceries at Costco and made lots of our own food. We didn't go to any big tourist areas or even drive through Waikiki and I'm so glad. We went to a lot of local beaches and food truck gatherings and loved the slow pace of it all. The north shore is such a beautiful place filled with kind people (who always let you cross the highway to get to the beach!) So grateful to be able to travel with my family to such a beautiful place!
