San Fransisco 2018

A few weeks ago I went to San Fransisco last week to visit my sister & her husband. I brought Grant along and left Scar at home with Derek. It was so fun to be reunited with my sister and explore the city, eating at yummy places and of course take too many photos...

Tulip Fest 2017

 We had such a fun time at the tulip festival the other day. The place was pretty much empty and it was so nice. We went last year on a Saturday on opening weekend and it was so crowed.

North Shore, Hawaii

Our trip to the North Shore of Oahu was so great! My whole family went and it was the first family vacation of all 10 of us. We stayed in a cute house right across from the beach with an awesome pool. Our first night there we were pretty tired after traveling all day. We eat dinner at a little food truck called Surf & Salsa. Very yummy mexican food! We enjoyed hanging out at the beach playing in the sand and Scar eating some too!

Snow Canyon

Last weekend I went to St. George to photograph a wedding. My mom came along to help babysit. We had a fun weekend visting extended family, and going to Swig every chance we had.

Corona Del Mar

While in California we went to the beach at Corona Del Mar. It is such a cute little beach with lots of tide pools and some caves to explore.

Huntington Beach

Our first day in California we went straight from the airport to Huntington Beach! We ate at Wahoo Tacos and it was so yummy! Then we walked down to the ocean, and dipped our toes in. Scarlett seemed to like it! She didn't even cry when I put her toes in the chilly water :) 

Greer Family Photos and a remote!

This last Sunday we took family photos with my family.  My brother zach was in town for Thanksgiving and so my mom insisted on getting a photo together. I am always happy to help. I put my camera on a tripod and usually set it to timer and run into the shot. BUT this year I stepped up my game and bought a remote! It had to point directly to the camera (and wouldn't work from a pocket) so it made for funny photos as we were figuring this out. As you can tell above, Derek thought it was hilarious. Everyone had to take their turn and using the remote. But hey, it made us all have genuine smiles for the most part so I would say it was a success. And thanks to my sister Kensie for snapping this photo of Derek, Scarlett and I too. Let me also add that I have learned that a little bit of lipstick goes a long way! Scarlett was up all through the night, then we had 9 o'clock church, and straight to draper for family photos. I'm surprised that I don't look like a zombie here, cause I sure felt like one.

happy birthday my darling Kensie. you are the only one appreciates my excessive use of hands during conversations, will never turn down a cupcake run or a thrift store hunt with me,  and can keep me into shape nutritionally and athletically. you are a babe with brains and i love you so. happy 20th baby! so glad you're home!

summit halloween party

while derek was working at the Jazz basketball game on saturday night, i through a costume together and went to a halloween party with my parents. i rummaged through kensie's closet and found my old feather headdress i made years ago. i helped my parents spray paint to make matching red and white stripped 'Where's Waldo' shirts.

for dinner they served the most unique food- like a dandelion greens salad along with other delicious things. they even had unjunked chocolate which rocked my world. after dinner capitol cities performed and were amazing! i had so much fun dancing & moshing with my parents (haha!) we staying out way past my bedtime, but it was definitely worth it ;)

California was just what i needed. our week was filled with...

body surfing and getting sand everywhere,

fish company
and many more moments in between. as much as i love vacations, i sure love having a place to call home and sharing it with my schnookums.

koko kitchen

i went to SLC tuesday with mama, kensie and lauren. we adventured to smiths to get groceries. i always love shopping with them because they all have their own taste. kensie helps me fine orangic and natural goodies, mama- exotic foods, and lauren- helps me indulge. i left the store with things i would of never bought including therapeutic epsom salt, wasabi cheese, and marinated mushroom bruschetta. we ventured to lunch at koko kitchen - a greasy spoon of a japanese place with to die for curry and sushi. we sat on the patio, surrounded by bamboo, laughing, taking photos, and sharing each other's food. i couldn't get enough of their fresh pickled ginger. (and to think i used to hate that stuff as a kid!) as we dropped lauren off at her apartment, i was carrying gwen her kitty in her carrying case. we went got off the elevator i unzipped a pocket to let her poke her head out and she launched out of the case and ran down the hall and waited in front of their door! a smart kitty that one is. i had such a fun short trip with my girls and love when we all get together.

celebrating zach's b-day

wednesday we went to texas road house to celebrate zach's 17th birthday! it was delicious food, and good fun watching the boy blush when we made him ride the saddle. so glad to have zach as my bro :)
