Last week we drove up to Mantua to see the Wild Poppy Field and it did not disappoint! I followed Scar around as she ate fruit snacks, collected rocks and looked for bugs.

Scar & pupmkins
Scar and I went for a drive to Willard for some pumpkins and Maddox drive in for lunch! We stopped at Grammy's produce to get some pumpkins. I can't stand how cute she is standing all by herself in that little beanie. She was pretty dang proud of herself too. Love watching her master a new skill and be brave.

Sink Baths
Sink baths are a favorite thing around here. Well just any water really. I love that Scar is a water baby because I love the water and Derek doesn't. Sometimes I give her messy foods just so I can have an excuse to let her play in the sink. Sure love this girl and can't believe she is 11 months!

Corona Del Mar
While in California we went to the beach at Corona Del Mar. It is such a cute little beach with lots of tide pools and some caves to explore.

Huntington Beach
Our first day in California we went straight from the airport to Huntington Beach! We ate at Wahoo Tacos and it was so yummy! Then we walked down to the ocean, and dipped our toes in. Scarlett seemed to like it! She didn't even cry when I put her toes in the chilly water :)

Greer Family Photos and a remote!
This last Sunday we took family photos with my family. My brother zach was in town for Thanksgiving and so my mom insisted on getting a photo together. I am always happy to help. I put my camera on a tripod and usually set it to timer and run into the shot. BUT this year I stepped up my game and bought a remote! It had to point directly to the camera (and wouldn't work from a pocket) so it made for funny photos as we were figuring this out. As you can tell above, Derek thought it was hilarious. Everyone had to take their turn and using the remote. But hey, it made us all have genuine smiles for the most part so I would say it was a success. And thanks to my sister Kensie for snapping this photo of Derek, Scarlett and I too. Let me also add that I have learned that a little bit of lipstick goes a long way! Scarlett was up all through the night, then we had 9 o'clock church, and straight to draper for family photos. I'm surprised that I don't look like a zombie here, cause I sure felt like one.

Family Photos with Miesh Photography
^ she went through 4 diapers in 2 hours! ^
Because I'm in love with our family photos with Miesh, I decided to share them on the blog. Sorry for the overload, but it is too hard to narrow it down! These were taken when Scarlett was one week old and she looks so skinny compared to the chunk she is now! It is crazy how quickly they change.

One Month!
This beauty is one month old today! She loves bath time, getting her hair blow dried and snuggling. She is the sweetest thing and Derek and I (and all of our families) just can't get enough of her. Happy one month of life Scarlett!

Family Photos Sneak Peek
The other day we had our family photos taken by Miesh Photography at The Studio Room in Salt Lake. Miesh was awesome and so patient! The entire session was shot only on film. And baby Scarlett did so good apart from going through 5 diapers in 2 hours haha. Above are a couple photos I snapped on my iphone during the shoot. I am so excited to see how they turn out.
